JK reader Jasmine suggested that I should try the old laksa stall at Ulu Tiram directly opposite the Chinese school SKJ (C) Tiram. Thanks to Jasmine's suggestion, I have the story of another heritage hawker in JK blog.
Finding Tiram Laksa is easy. The home based stall is right across Jalan Kekabu opposite SKJ (C) Tiram.

Tony Tan Hails Singapore Italy Co-operation - Let's Celebrate with Singapore Chili Crab Spaghetti :-D JK1502
My favourite ways to eat spaghetti are the minimalist aglio e olio followed by self indulgent Singapore chili crab spaghetti :-D I am not sure where this brilliant Italian - Singapore fusion of two national dishes was invented but the best chili crab spaghetti that I've tasted in Johor Bahru is at EH HE Art Cafe at Jalan Tan Hiok Nee.

Lemon Tree now has three locations - Taman Melodies, Permas Jaya and Kulai - all serving the same menu, with the same ambiance and same prices.

It's all about the Handmade Fish Balls - Ah Hua at Johor Bahru Sri Tebrau Food Centre
After stumbling upon Ah Hua in Stulang Laut and enjoyed their fish ball noodles back in 2012, Ah Hua moved and I lost track of the stall ever since. So, I was really glad that buddy MC Kee mentioned to me that Ah Hua is now located at Sri Tebrau Hawker Centre. I quickly made my way down to Ah Hua for that long lost feeling of tasting their famed hand made fish balls.

Most Popular Dim Sum in Johor - Gim Cheng in Taman Daya
Came to Gim Cheng at Taman Daya this morning - this large corner kopitiam type dim sum shop is the most popular in JB to my knowledge.
Gim Cheng was busy as ever this Saturday morning - the whole place was full and there were customers waiting for tables. Most customers were family groups, often three generations.
Stay calm.
Service is fast and friendly. Table turn over is pretty quick

Curry Sah Hor Fun at Kee Kim Huat Coffee Shop in Johor Bahru
Sah Hor Fun 沙河粉 is a flat rice ribbon noodle originally from the Shahe 沙河 region of Guangzhou, China. I think people from Shahe would never imagine what happened to their staple food when it came to Malaysia. The versatile Sah Hor Fun rice noodle is eaten in many ways - stir fried, served in soup, and in a uniquely Malaysian fusion - bathed in a flood of spicy chicken curry.

Johor Tua Thow JB Kway Teow Soup - No Gimmicks, Just Fresh Ingredients Well Prepared
In JB, I like it when I have to share a table with strangers. I always take the opportunity to ask my new friend why s/he like this stall. I would go further to ask him/her for other recommendations. That's how I was introduced to Tua Thow kway teow thng which old customers refer to as "Larkin Bomba kway teow thng" because it is across the road from the fire station. That was in January 2012,
