During the Muslim Holy Month, Bazar Ramadan are set up all over Malaysia, in every corner of the country. There are large ones with over a hundred stalls that attract even tourists to come and try traditional local dishes. There are also smaller bazaars with just one or two rows of stalls serving the local community living near the bazaar.

Last night (19 Jun 2016) the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) performed at Johor Bahru's Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios to bring the JB Classical Music Festival 2016 to a crescendo and magnificent close. Stumbled upon this really good ikan bakar stall today at BR 新国花 coffee shop in Permas Jaya. I've been here at BR coffee shop a few times before but somehow missed this 999 Ikan Bakar stall. It's one of my favourite ikan bakar stalls in Malaysia and Singapore now. For lucky JB folks, this brilliant stall in Permas Jaya is so accessible 😄

Pudu KL Food - Restoran 168 Curry Mee and Wanton Mee JK1535
Stumbled upon this scene and loud signboard while combing the gritty streets of Pudu KL for good food. When in KL, I like to come to Pudu because it is like the old Chinatown of Singapore.
The 5-foot ways around Restoran 168 were decked out with flimsy folding tables and plastic chairs. The kitchen and even the proverbial kitchen sink were also on the walk way 😱

I was invited to taste the 6 course modern European set dinner menu by The Clan Restaurant at Pomo Mall at Selegie Road in Singapore. It was a scrumptious meal, made with premium ingredients, well executed, professionally served by attentive staff in a comfortable, well appointed restaurant. Must Try Shanghai Street Food - Chinese Street Burger 肉夹馍 JK1539
This Chinese street sandwich found in Shanghai and all over China is often touted as the "Chinese hamburger". It's a little misleading 😝 These 肉夹馍 or "meat sandwiches" are sold in the streets of China since the Tang Dynasty's 大唐开元年间 period (713-741 AD) predating the American hamburger by almost two millennium.
